Project Details
Following a previous study where we advised on the feasibility, business planning and master-planning work on a new sports city for Abu Dhabi, IPW… was engaged to deliver a study recommending the optimum redevelopment strategy (and capacity and Premium mix) for Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Working alongside AECOM, our work focused on innovative ways to increase stadium use outside of a limited number of event days, and how these requirements could be designed into a redeveloped facility.
We also developed a projected event programme and advised on financial and operating considerations, including recommending a reduced stadium capacity to create a better atmosphere and an event experience more suiting this programme.
