IPW… was commissioned by Somerset West & Taunton Council to explore the feasibility of a new performance venue for Taunton as part of the Firepool development in the city centre.
Our work included an assessment of the local, regional and national factors influencing demand for entertainment events and business tourism, a benchmarking exercise to analyse facility provision in comparable markets and the development of a detailed specification and area schedule for the venue solution most appropriate for Taunton.
We subsequently developed detailed business plan projections for the venue and market tested the concept with prospective operators.
