IPW… has been working with Rivington Land and City & County of Swansea since 2016 on the St. David’s development.
IPW… initially completed a feasibility study into the potential to develop a new venue as part of the St David’s development.
The study recommended the development of a 3,500 capacity multi-use facility, capable of accommodating entertainment, conference and exhibition uses.
IPW…‘s venue planning team created the innovative layout that has been taken on by the design and development team.
IPW… managed an operator procurement process that led to the selection of Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) as the operator tenant in 2017.
IPW… continues to support the partners through the design development stage, including input into venue planning and key commercial issues.
‘Swansea Arena’ will be developed as part of Phase 1 of the St David’s development, which also includes 2 car parks, retail and residential uses and significant investment in the public realm.
The Arena is projected to open in 2021.
