IPW… delivered three detailed stages of feasibility studies for the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) on the redevelopment of the Lee Valley Ice Centre (LVIC).
Feasibility work included a detailed analysis of the rink’s historic financial performance, programming etc to advise on key areas to further improve performance, and a full review of the local and regional market for ice facilities (including competitor rink developments).
We delivered a detailed market analysis and evaluation of a series of facility mix options, tested against the Authority’s key strategic objectives as developed with the client team. This included detailed business planning and capital cost determination of a series of facility mix options. On this basis, we explored the key funding options to arrive at the proposed mix for a major new twin pad facility. Our team also supported the LVRPA in the procurement of an operator for its six major sporting facilities, providing specific advice, guidance and analysis of tenders relating to the LVIC.
IPW… were engaged as part of the Authority’s delivery team to bring forward the new rink, designed to maximise regional impact and deliver the best value for money.
The redeveloped venue opened on 17 June 2023.
