IPW… completed a two-stage feasibility study and business case for the development of a new ice rink as part of a wider mixed use retail and leisure development in the city centre.
On behalf of Hull City Council, IPW… undertook a review of the existing rink, potential market assessment, catchment analysis and stakeholder consultation.
This informed detailed operational business planning and development of the proposed facility mix – with a particular emphasis on the potential for complementary commercial uses to meet market needs, to maximise the sustainability of the rink and support the funding solution.
As part of the feasibility, IPW… developed the area schedule, layouts, capital cost analysis and advised the Council on a complicated site assessment including delivering the rink at first floor level.
IPW… played a key role in the wider development appraisals and the potential funding/delivery plan. The project is expected to progress to market.
