IPW advised Liverpool FC on the expansion of Anfield, developing the business plan that was used by the Club’s ownership to determine its investment decision.

Our team was based on site in Liverpool to understand historic financial data, develop a bespoke business plan model to meet the Club’s specific needs, and prepare data for presentation to ownership.

This also provided important insight bringing together an understanding of the club’s retail, matchday and non-matchday operations and revenues. We subsequently worked with the Club to explore new Premium Seating and sponsorship opportunities with the creation of new partner inventory.

Our comprehensive financial model, and the outcomes generated, were used as the key decision-making tool of FSG in approving investment in the expansion.

The expanded Main Stand opened early in the 2016/17 season.
